Anti-war
demonstration, Saturday 18 March, London |
Gagged
but not silenced – Community anti-war picket & open mic, Parliament Sq, London
We have
been told that we no longer have the right to demonstrate on Parliament
Square without police authorisation under the Serious Organised Crime &
Police Act. Brian Haw is exempt from this law and we visit him on his
demonstration, as we have done for years,
every Wednesday between
5.30-7pm and
on other days. We have been taking legal advice and supported other
people who have been arrested for demonstrating. Watch this space for
any update. In the meantime join us in visiting
Brian regularly

Q&A
with John
McDonnell MP:
Contender for the leadership of the Labour Party
Thursday 29 March 7.30pm, London
We have known John since the ‘80s when he
and others at the GLC were attacked for funding the “lunatic fringe” –
Black and immigrant people, lesbian and gay people…
Although we are not in the Labour Party,
or any party, this has never been an obstacle to our working together.
Unlike other politicians, John has always been committed to using his
power for the benefit of the grassroots.
