Activist D’Arcy released from prison

An elderly artist and anti-war activist, who was released early from prison yesterday, after serving part of a second prison sentence over her opposition to the US military use of Shannon Airport, has described conditions inside Limerick Prison as “inhumane”.

We were from the All African Women’s Group, Global Women’s Strike and Single Mothers’ Self-Defence.

Shamefully Margaretta has been locked up again - for protesting war crimes and Ireland's collusion in them. In a visit with John Lannon and Edward Horgan today, Margaretta expressed her horror at what is being done to the people of Gaza.
