The Global Women’s Strike/LA and Women of Color/GWS look back at the year drawing to a close and ahead to the coming one, as all of us are finding ways to come together
to build strength across movements as we face the coming onslaught.
Here are examples of some of our work this year and also some of what is coming up in 2017. We thank you for your support and wish you strength and power for the coming year!
The Global Women’s Strike/LA and Women of Color/GWS urge you to join us in supporting efforts of Raise the Wage to increase the minimum wage in LA to $15 an hour. As a result of the coalition’s work and other community pressure, LA City Council has decided to hold hearings of its Economic Development Committee in several different venues across the city – we hope you’ll join us and let your voice be heard in support, please see flyer below for locations.
