An honour to share my book with Selma James, a living legend of the Wages for Housework Campaign. Tucked away in a mews in Kentish Town, the Women’s Crossroads Centre bustles with activity: campaigns, zoom calls and for researchers, the entire archives of the Campaign (also stored at the Bishopsgate Institute). Over an organic lunch I was peppered with questions about my book and cash transfers to women in India and offered backstories to various cites to the Campaign’s activities in the book.
